Walk and Talk Therapy
“There is something deeply healing about putting one foot in front of the other in a natural space.”

What is Walk and Talk Therapy?
A form of therapy that takes place outdoors while walking side by side
Offers a more relaxed and natural alternative to sitting in an office
Sessions follow your pace—both physically and emotionally
Combines the benefits of movement, fresh air, and therapeutic support
Encourages grounding, reflection, and emotional processing in nature
Can feel less intense or intimidating than face-to-face conversations
Especially helpful for those who feel more comfortable moving while talking
Walk-and-talk therapy is a unique option for those who feel more at ease in nature or prefer movement over sitting still. It’s a gentle, flexible approach that invites you to explore your thoughts and emotions in a calming, outdoor environment.
Is Walk and Talk Therapy Right for You?
Walk-and-talk therapy can be an ideal choice for those who feel more comfortable in natural, open environments. It’s especially helpful if you:
Enjoy being outdoors and find nature calming
Feel more at ease talking while moving or walking
Want a less formal setting for processing your thoughts
Are looking for a change of pace from traditional office therapy
If any of these resonate with you, walk-and-talk therapy could be a meaningful approach. If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, I’d be happy to discuss your goals and preferences with you to find the best option for your healing journey.
What to Expect in a Walk and Talk Session
Walk and talk therapy blends the familiarity of traditional sessions with the calming rhythm of nature and movement. Here’s what you can expect:
Sessions take place on a local walking trail, offering a peaceful, natural backdrop as we talk and move together.
You can choose between shorter (25–30 minutes) or full-length (50–55 minutes) sessions, depending on your needs and preferences.
Our first session will take place in the office or virtually. This gives us a chance to explore your goals and determine together if walk and talk therapy feels like the right fit.
We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, with breaks to pause, sit, or hydrate whenever needed.
You’re always in control of what you choose to share—just like in any therapy session, your comfort and readiness lead the way.
Nature becomes part of the experience, offering a sense of grounding, spaciousness, and presence.
Walk and talk sessions are offered seasonally, typically from spring through early fall, weather permitting.
“Nature itself is the best physician.”
